What to buy
Hello everyone
I just started playing guild wars and I own the first one (Prophecies) now to the issue. I only going to play pvp and I want access to all classes and skills/items or as many Is I can get, and the store with all the addition makes no sense to me for some reason. I simply need help with what I get in them and which one is good to buy, sorry If I express myself in a confusing way. |

For PvP, I would say Nightfall to get heroes and decent Elites. PvE, Eye of the North.

skillpacks are for unlocking all the skills in a certain campaign. For example, if u buy a factions skillpack. You get all the available skills u can unlock in factions already without going through the whole campaign and buying it all.

The PvE games allow you to unlock runes, insignias, and weapon components by finding them and ID-ing them as well. The skillpack only includes skills, you'll have to unlock the rest of the stuff with just balth faction. Also, if you just buy the factions skillpack, you won't get access to Factions-only PvP modes like AB. Same goes for Nightfall; the skillpack won't give you access to Hero Battles, or unlock any heroes at all.

Yes, you can unlock all items and skills by just PvP'ing and don't have to PvE.

if u only have prophecies and intend to pvp, u will need to buy factions, nightfall, and eotn so that u can obtain all skills. as for obtaining all skills, it will take some time. pve is cheap and easy to begin with. use it to obtain skills for basic pvp builds to run. playing in pve will also help u to learn basic game mechanics and what not. once ur semi-capable of being able to pvp, u can then earn balth faction to start unlocking stuff. always keep a a certain amount of balth faction on ur person so that if people ask u to take a skill u do not have, u will be able to unlock it on the spot. unlocking everything with balth faction takes a long time, so just play pve all the time in ur pvp down time. go through the campaigns, id all items u get ur hands on, cap all elites from bosses u come across. of course, this takes a reasonable amount of time. for instant skill gratification, there are pvp skill unlock packs that can be purchased in the online store. don't expect to be great at pvp right away. now-a-days it is quite a steep learning curve with 10 classes and all the skills associated with them. try reading up on the meta and what builds work and what not. good luck
